E-Shram Scheme: In the year 2020, the central government launched the E-Shram Yojana to provide economic security to people working in the unorganized sector. Workers must create an electronic card (e-Shram Card) to receive many benefits under the scheme. Along with financial assistance, the government provides Rs 2 lakh in accident insurance. Pensions are also available after the age of 60, as well as insurance and financial assistance in the event of disability. Workers are entitled to a disability pension of Rs 1 lakh and a monthly pension of Rs 3,000 after the age of 60.
An Aadhar card, a bank account, an Aadhar-linked mobile number, and a passport-sized photo are needed to create an e-Shram card. For registration, follow the steps below:
Visit e-Shram’s official website and complete the self-registration process.
Click ‘Send OTP’ after entering the captcha code and the mobile number associated with Aadhaar.
After entering the OTP, select ‘Verify’.
Verify the data displayed on the screen. You will be directed to the next page.
Enter the required data, including your address, skill level, educational background, and other details, on the following page.
After entering your bank account information, click ‘Submit’ and ‘Preview’. An OTP will be sent to your phone. Click ‘Verify’ after entering your OTP.
After your e-Shram Card has been generated, click the download button to save it.
