Workout Basics: A few easy yet effective workouts will help you build body strength at home without the need for any equipment. The first exercise is the squat, which works the lower body.  Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your hands positioned for balance, then lower your body as if sitting in a chair. This strengthens the legs and the entire lower body. To increase the intensity, hold the squat position before rising. The second exercise is the push-up, which improves upper-body strength, especially in the chest and arms. Beginners can begin by completing push-ups against a wall, keeping the chest aligned with the thumbs for perfect form.

Strength Building Exercises

The next exercise is good mornings, which strengthens the back, hamstrings, and hips. Stand with your feet slightly apart and your hands behind your head. Push your hips back as you bend forward to a 90-degree angle, then return to an upright position. The next exercise is split squats or lunges, which are good for building lower body strength.  Step one leg back, lower into a squat, and then rise back up. This can be done either stationary or as walking lunges, depending on the available area. The hollow hold is the final exercise, which helps to strengthen the core. Lie on the floor in a boat-like position with your feet and arms up, tighten your core, and hold the position for a predetermined time.
