Menstruation or the monthly cycle is a phase and a natural process through which every girl has to go through while entering into her puberty. And while going through that monthly cycle of menstruation, girls must ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness in using various menstrual products in sensitive areas of their body.
And in this regard, to create proper awareness, Menstrual Hygiene Day is celebrated every year on 28th May, which aims to create awareness among young girls and every woman going through their Menstrual period to ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness to avoid various infections.
It must be noted that women may refer to any Menstrual product for usage, to absorb the blood flowing out, be it their homemade cloth pads, or the pads available in the market.
However, it must be noted that the homemade cloth pads aren’t much comfortable once they absorb the blood and can get replaced from their place which doesn’t provide for a much comfortable experience. Moreover, while reusing these homemade pads, one must ensure that these are washed properly and dried under the sun to minimize the risk of infections and germs.
Second, are those sanitary pads, which can be disposed off after usage and are easy to use, as these can be changed at regular intervals. Since these sanitary pads can be changed, these ensure the least risk of infections and germs.
The third ones are the tampons and the panty liners, which are comfortable but are have a great risk of infections associated.
While considering all of the above options, sanitary pads are the best to use, as these are commonly available in the market, are comfortable to use, and absorb most of the blood thereby reducing the risk of stains too.
