K-pop Update: HYBE in a groundbreaking achievement has been named as one of the ‘50 Most Innovative Companies’ by Fast Company. The list also features global giants NVIDIA, Microsoft, YouTube, and Google.
HYBE, only Korean company on the list
HYBE has ranked 23rd place among the domestic companies for being the most innovative companies. It secured a second position in the design sector. The win is a pathbreaking one with HYBE being the only Korean company to rank in the global list pushing it to worldwide attention. The recognition was bestowed to HYBE owing to the label’s artists NewJeans’s constant redefinition of music as commercial art.
Fast Track elaborated on the reason for selecting HYBE as the strategic vision of Min Hee Jin, CEO of Ador, a label under HYBE and NewJeans’ remarkable success in the global market with their unique identity and music. The group is characterized by its 90s-evoking nostalgia, R&B-like tunes, and dreamy visuals that have caught the attention of the world. The members of the group have also been active ambassadors of several global fashion brands. Companies like Apple, Nike, and Coca-Cola have collaborated with them.
HYBE’s name in the list of innovative companies has reaffirmed its identity as an icon of innovation that goes beyond its functional role as an entertainment company.
NVIDIA tops the list, Microsoft at 3rd
In the esteemed list of ‘50 Most Innovative Companies’ NVIDIA, an artificial intelligence company ranks first position, with Microsoft at third, YouTube at seventh, Google at thirty, and UMG at forty-five. HYBE marked itself as the only representative of Korea on the list.
Fast Company is an American media brand recognizing companies shaping cultures and industries with their innovations and strategy since 2008 with the means of an annual ‘50 Most Innovative Companies.’
