Another significant declaration relating to Agniveers was issued by the Central Government today. For open positions in the BSF, the government has set a 10% reserve for ex-firemen. Also, a relaxation of the conditions for the maximum age has been announced. Whether they were a part of the initial batch or later batches will affect the age relaxation, though. This information was released on 6 March through a notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
On March 6, the Ministry of Home Affairs published a gazette notification announcing this. The General Duty Cadre Recruitment Regulations 2015 for the Border Security Force (BSF) have been changed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to include a 10% reserve for agnives. On March 6, 2023, the official gazette notification for this was published. According to the announcement, Agnivesers would also receive a break from the Physical Efficiency Test during the BSF recruitment exam.
