On Monday, the Delhi High Court dismissed the petitions against the Agneepath programme of the federal government. In approving the national government's proposal, a bench consisting of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramaniam Prasad refused to provide the petitioners with relief. The principle bench also rejected requests for a shift and enrollment in the defence services in accordance with the prior recruitment plan. The plan was created, according to the court, in the interest of the country and to ensure that the armed forces have superior equipment.
On June 14, 2022, the Agneepath plan was introduced. New guidelines for the enlistment of young people in the armed forces were provided under this programme. These regulations state that only young people between the ages of 17 and 21 are eligible to apply, and those who are accepted will be admitted for a four-year tenure.
