During a ceremony in New Delhi on Thursday, India's oldest airline, Air India, overhauled its logo and aircraft. The Tata Group airline has dropped the red arched window in favour of an eye-catching livery with gold, red, and purple tail fins. The name will also be engraved in bold on the red and gold underbelly.

This is how the new identity will be launched

The Tata Group airline stated that its new identity will be unveiled with the arrival of the all-new Airbus SE A350 jet later this year. In the programme, the company's CEO, Campbell Wilson, stated that the new style devised by the future brand will boost Air India's position in global aviation. On social media, there have been a variety of reactions to the new Air India employees.

Significantly, earlier this year, Air India purchased 470 planes from Airbus and Boeing for $70 billion. New aircraft will be delivered beginning in November of this year. As part of its strategy, the airline will lease 20 wide-body aircraft this year. In addition, a $400 million budget has been set aside for its ageing fleet of 43 widebody aircraft.
