Amrit Udyan 2025: The iconic Amrit Udyan in Rashtrapati Bhawan is all set to open to the public next month. Formerly known as Mughal Gardens, Amrit Udyan boasts a colourful scenic view of beautifully crafted gardens and different flowers, creating a serene landscape for people. The garden opens for a brief period of time every year so that people can enjoy the scenery located in the heart of the national capital. As the Amrit Udyan is about to open its gates for visitors, check out the date, timings, slots, and other details to keep in mind.
The Amrit Udyan will be open to the public during the spring season, from February 2 to March 30, 2025. The President’s Secretariat has announced that guests can visit the beautiful gardens six days a week, except for Mondays, which are allocated for maintenance. Additionally, the garden will be closed on specified dates, including February 5 (Delhi Assembly Elections), February 20-21 (for the Visitors’ Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan), and March 14 (Holi).
Special slots have been reserved for specific groups. On March 26, the garden will be open to those with disabilities. March 27 will be designated for members of the defense, paramilitary, and police forces. Women and tribal women’s self-help groups (SHGs) are welcome to visit on March 28. March 29 will be reserved for senior citizens.
The garden is free for entry, and visitors may either book their slots at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in or opt for walk-in entry. Furthermore, Rashtrapati Bhavan will hold the Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav from March 6 to 9, 2025, to celebrate Southern India’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. Visitors can enter and exit at Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, which is located near North Avenue. From 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., a shuttle bus will also run every 30 minutes from the Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35.
