Following the curtain drop of Apple’s ‘Wonderlust event’, the market is oozing with an array of questions regarding the launch of the iPhone 15 series. Not only this, but the Indian market is buzzing with the excitement of the In-a-first Apple’s Made-In-India product rollout. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are currently being produced in India's Tamil Nadu plant. But it appears Apple still relies on China to assemble its most expensive iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. For the unversed during the Apple event, the IT giant waved a green flag to a number of new rollouts including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max along with Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2.
Bloomberg reports that Foxconn Technology Group's factory in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is preparing to ship the newest iPhone models soon after they are first made available from Chinese facilities.
Apple's strategic aim to lessen its reliance on Chinese manufacturing has reached a key turning point with the immediate availability of iPhone 15 phones made in India. Currently, over 7% of the entire global iPhone production is contributed by Apple's suppliers in India.
According to the source, iPhones made in China and India would both be available for purchase on the same day. This will be the first time that iPhones made in China and India are both simultaneously available.
Beginning on September 22, the iPhone 15 will be sold in India. From September 15 at 5:30 PM IST, you may also place a pre-order for the gadget.
The price of the iPhone 15's launch in India is the same as that of the iPhone 14's from the previous year. Priced at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB model, Rs 89,900 for the 256GB model, and Rs 1,09,900 for the 512GB model, respectively.
