Eid 2024 Releases: The biggest Bollywood clash of 2024 has created a rush of excitement among the fans of both Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, as both of these finest Hindi film actors are about to clash big on the occasion of Eid, with their upcoming movies releasing on the same date. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s action-thriller “Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan” and Ajay Devgn’s “Maidaan” are set to ablaze theatres this week, however, the makers recently made a crucial announcement regarding the release dates of the movie, which has now been shifted. The advance booking for both movies has already started, with Akshay-Tiger’s bromance currently progressing ahead of Ajay’s biographical drama.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk.com, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” has sold over 9000 tickets, and the film is expected to play more than 3000 shows in India. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's advance collections have approached Rs 30 lakhs as a result of advance bookings. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, earned approximately Rs 69.61 lakh in India with blocked seats. Delhi leads the list with a gross collection of Rs 15.05 Cr, followed by Maharashtra with Rs 11.52 Cr and Gujarat with Rs 7.73 Cr. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alaya Furniturewala, and Ronit Roy.
Ajay Devgn’s biopic drama got off to a good start with advance ticket sales, giving a tough competition to “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.” According to early estimates, Maidaan sold 9942 tickets on its first day. There are 9813 tickets for 2D screens, and 129 tickets for IMAX 2D cinema halls. Maidaan has already earned Rs 22.09 crore through advance booking sales. Amit Sharma directed the film, which stars Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, Nitanshi Goel, and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles.
Initially, both films were scheduled to be released on April 10, however, the makers have now shifted the release date to 11th April, with only paid previews on 10th April. As there was confusion among the Eid festivities dates in India, it is now believed that the festival will be celebrated on 11th April, a big reason for the change in the release dates of both the movies.
