Bangladesh News: PM Sheikh Hasina Resigns; Army To Form Interim Government Soon

Bangladesh News: The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina has resigned from the office, and has fled to a ‘safer location’ with her sister. The army chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman ensures that the army will be forming an interim government in the state to manage the massive unrest of protests and violence in the state. 

Sheikh Hasina to land in Delhi 

It is believed that her chopper will soon make a stop in Delhi, India before setting off to London. Her fleeing has come in the backdrop of the student protest over quotas that gave reservations to students coming from the family of freedom fighters in government jobs. The mass protest turned significantly violent over the weekend resulting in the death of thousands across the nation.
