Bihar News: 12 people including policemen injured in the Mahaviri Yatra commotion in Bagaha and Motihari

Bihar Latest News:  During the Mahaviri procession, violence erupted in two districts of Bihar. In Motihari, Bihar, an attempt was made to carry out Nuh-like violence in the area. On the festival of Nagpanchami, the Mahaviri Jhanda Yatra was targeted by several miscreants who suddenly began pelting stones at the procession, causing the entire area in chaos. The two sides clashed in three blocks of Bagaha and Motihari, with the situation in Bagaha being the worst.

 

Nuh Like Situation in Motihari and Bagaha 

When rumours circulated that Lord Hanuman’s idol had been broken, a commotion happened during the mahaviri yatra. Several vehicles were set on fire. A fight between two groups broke out during the flag hoisting at Motihari’s Mehsi, Kalyanpur, and Darpa police station areas. Bricks and stones were thrown from both sides, but the police eventually gained control and stopped the situation form becoming more serious. On Tuesday, there was peace in these three regions due to the Police’s continuous monitoring of the situation. The incident injured twelve poeple, including two police officers and a journalist. This commotion occurred in the Ratan Mala neighbourhood of the Nagar police station.
