Bloody Daddy review: Shahid Kapoor’s starrer a Pacey Thriller or Bygone era actioner? Netizens decide

Bloody Daddy review: Shahid Kapoor consistently captivates his fans by skillfully selecting diverse roles. Whether it's his portrayal of Kabir Singh, Sunny in Farzi, or Sumair in Bloody Daddy, Shahid effortlessly embodies a blend of toughness and street-smartness, establishing himself as a reliable choice for action-packed movies. Bloody Daddy, a reinterpretation of the 2011 French thriller Nuit Blanche, offers an abundance of violence, is significantly high on its title and expertly executed gunfights and duels. However, despite its polished technical aspects, the film's substance falls short of matching its surface appeal. You can catch Bloody Daddy on JioCinema.

Bloody Daddy review

Discussing Shahid Kapoor's role in Bloody Daddy, it was satisfying to see his powerful comeback, although there were certain aspects of the plot that felt amiss. The movie primarily revolves around Sumair, a high-ranking police officer whose actual involvement in official duties fails to align with his badge. Amidst a dysfunctional family dynamic, his emotional attachment is solely reserved for his son. Things take a drastic turn when he becomes entangled in a disastrous drug heist, resulting in the kidnapping of his teenage boy by Sikander, played by Ronit Roy. The motive behind this act is evident – he seeks to exchange drugs for the safe return of his son. However, complications arise when Sumair loses drugs worth a staggering Rs 50 crore and finds himself relentlessly pursued by a gang of henchmen. In the film, Shahid Kapoor delivers a striking performance, exuding an intimidating presence.
