Entrusting these seven normal Korean boys with great aspirations was the deal-breaker for Bighit, as the company was also struggling when the group was formed initially. BTS struggled their way out from being trainees to becoming internationally acclaimed musicians, representing South Korea on every stage. The band is known for connecting with fans through their in-depth music and its meanings that talk about loving yourself, breaking stereotypes, believing in yourself, mental health, and several social topics. In contrast to the typical upbeat culture of K-Pop, BTS continued to create music for general awareness, including several songs like “I Need You”, “Spring Day”, “Life Goes On” and their 2016 album “Wings,” which explored themes of temptation, guilt, and personal development inspired from Hermann Hesse’s book ‘Demian’.
BTS has dominated charts worldwide and sold out stadiums throughout the course of its ten years in the spotlight. They have achieved a sense of respect from every other individual, from presenting their first UN Speech to performing on the UN stage with millions of fans witnessing these seven men dominating the world, BTS has it all covered up. Currently, the members are on their hiatus period, with , and two of the band members Jin and J-Hope finishing their necessary military duty in South Korea. The band’s eldest member Jin enrolled last year after a humongous debate about whether the group deserved an exemption from the mandatory military requirement for all able-bodied males in South Korea to serve at least 18 months in the military.
