BTS Dynamite New Record:  After the announcement of J-Hope’s documentary ‘HOPE ON THE STREET’ there is another celebratory moment for the BTS Army as ‘Dynamite’ crosses the mark of 1.8 million streams on both Spotify and YouTube making them the first K-pop group in the history to have achieved it. 

BTS replaces BLACKPINK 

BTS has dethroned the girl K-pop group BLACKPINK from the spot secured for having the record of the fastest K-pop group music video to hit 1.8 million views. BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU DU” was the predecessor of BTS’s Dynamite. 

The exciting news was announced by BIGHIT MUSIC revealing that the video hit a new record at 3:06 a.m. It was around the same time, that the song crossed the number of streams on Spotify.   

The music video was released on August 21, 2020, which means it took the global sensation 3 years and 6 months to reach this milestone approximately a month faster than BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU DU”.    

BTS Military Mandate 

The global sensations are currently on a halt from producing new music. The seven members of the group are serving their mandatory military services. The military service inittated with the eldest member Jin enlisting in December 2022. Following Jin were J-Hope and Suga. later the group leaders RM aka Kim Namjoon and V aka Taehyung Kim Tae-hyung were enlisted in the mandatory service in the Korean military. The last to join were Jimin and Jungkook for the 18-month service implying that BTS as a group would resume around 2025.
