Cancer Causes: Does Vaping Increase the Risk of Cancer? Know Potential Side Effects

13 Dec, 2024

Vaping Side Effects: The link between smoking, vaping, and lung cancer is an important issue that needs attention. Vaping, which is frequently considered a safer alternative to smoking, provides nicotine in the form of an aerosolized liquid rather than tobacco. Initially marketed as a low-risk method of quitting smoking, it was thought to carry no danger of lung damage or cancer. However, this assumption is incorrect. Vaping delivers toxic substances into the lungs, including formaldehyde and acrolein. In this video, we'll talk about the dangers of vaping and the health concerns that come with it.

Is Vaping Safe?

While the relationship between vaping and lung cancer has not yet been definitively proved due to its recent popularity, data suggests that oxidative stress from vaping may cause lung damage similar to those associated with cancer. Importantly, like smoking, the negative effects of vaping may not become apparent for decades. The Indian government acknowledged these hazards and banned vaping entirely. Flavoured vaping products are particularly dangerous since they appeal to young people, increasing addiction rates. Although the long-term link between vaping and lung cancer is still being studied, the risks of breathing chemically altered aerosols are obvious.
