Chhaava Box Office: Vicky Kaushal’s period drama Chhaava has been breaking box office records since its release on 14 February 2025. With a strong box office hold on the thirteenth day as well the film is soon to become the highest grosser of the year, with an entry into the esteemed Rs. 400 crore club.

As per the data revealed by Sacnilk, Chhaava made a net collection of Rs. 23 crore in India on its second Wednesday. Coinciding with the occasion of Mahashivratri, a national holiday in the country, the cinema houses witnessed increased footfalls in the first half of the day positively impacting the domestic collection of the Laxman Utekar directorial.
After a successful 13-day run, Chhaava’s domestic earnings stand at a net of Rs. 386.25 crore.
Worldwide, the Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer has already entered the Rs. 500 crore club with a global market of Rs. 509 crore.
Helmed by Laxman Utekar, the film is among the array of hit films from Maddock Films Productions. Kaushal has been hailed for his evocative performance as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the epic title that can soon be the highest-grosser film of 2025.
The massive popularity and cultural impact of the film have led to many states declaring it tax-free. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai announced the film to be tax-free further increasing the overall collection of the title. Apart from Chhattisgarh, Goa, and Madhya Pradesh have already declared Chhaava to be tax-free as the states believe that the rich legacy of the bravery of Sambhaji Maharaj should reach most people.
Chhaava is going strong at the box office and some fans are still waiting for its OTT release making the film easily accessible for a wide and global audience. The streaming rights of the film have been bought by Netflix however no update has been shared about the release date of the film on the streaming giant.
