Chattisgarh New CM: On Saturday, the BJP Legislature Party held a meeting to select the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and Vishnudev Sai was declared the new Chief Minister of the state. Vishnudev Sai, MLA from Kunkuri assembly seat, is a tribal member. Following the announcement of the election results, many leaders’ names were being considered in the race for new CM. The legislative party meeting in Chhattisgarh was attended by Union ministers Arjun Munda, Sarbananda Sonowal, Dushyant Kumar Gautam, and Chhattisgarh BJP in-charge Om Mathur.
Vishnudev Sai will be Chhattisgarh’s second tribal Chief Minister, following Ajit Jogi. Vishnudev Sai was elected BJP state president in 2020. He has served as a Member of Parliament and a Union Minister. He is also close to the RSS and former Chief Minister Raman Singh. Vishnudev Sai was born on February 21, 1964, in Jashpur, India, into a farmer family. During the first term of the Modi government, he was the Union Minister of State for Steel. He was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh.
