Sukma Naxal Encounter: 16 Naxalites Killed in Chhattisgarh Naxal Encounter, Search Operation Continues

Sukma Naxal Encounter: On Saturday morning, security forces clashed with Naxalites in the forests of the Keralapal police station area in Chattisgarh’s Sukma district, killing 16 of them. This incident occurred as the security forces were conducting a search operation in the region.

Two Security Personnel Injured

On Friday night, authorities received information about a big number of Naxalites in the Keralapal area. Following this, DRG and CRPF personnel began a coordinated operation. When security troops arrived in the forest on Saturday morning, the Naxalites who were hiding in ambush opened fire. 16 Naxalites were killed in retaliation. The bodies of 16 Naxalites were recovered following the encounter. Two security personnel also suffered minor injuries during this operation and received rapid first assistance. Police authorities say the search operation is still ongoing in the region.
