10 Apr, 2023

Corona cases are on the rise in Delhi. On Sunday, 699 new cases of Covid-19 were reported, with a 21.15 percent infection rate. This information was obtained from data provided by the Delhi Government’s Health Department. In the city, four individuals died from Covid-19. Yet, according to the health alert, Covid-19 was the primary cause of death in only one case.

More cases to be recorded in coming days

Saurabh Bhardwaj, the Minister of Health for Delhi, stated on Monday that more COVID-19 cases are anticipated in the city in the coming days. Also, he has urged anyone who appears to be suffering from the flu to stay home and wear masks. The minister informed the media that three deaths were caused by a number of illnesses that were incorrectly recorded as coronavirus infections.

Saurabh Bhardhwaj said, “Delhi is a densely populated city. Cases will increase and many people will show flu, influenza like symptoms with fever and cough, but they will recover. People with such symptoms should not go to public places. If one has to go to such places then wear a mask and follow other safety norms, so that they do not infect others.”
