Corona Update: Virus is spreading quickly; over 35,000 active cases recorded

Coronavirus cases are steadily rising in the nation. Also, 5,880 additional corona cases were reported the previous day, bringing the total number of current cases to 35,199. Coronavirus is present in 0.08 percent of all cases in India. In addition to this, 12 people have passed away from corona in the previous 24 hours. In Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, the deaths have been most prevalent. As a result of the virus, there have been 4 deaths in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh and 1 death each in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Jammu-Kashmir, and Gujarat.

Positivity Rate increased

Coronavirus positive rate has climbed to 6.91 percent on a daily basis, whereas it has decreased to 3.67 percent on a weekly basis. The overall number of corona cases now stands at 4.47 crore.

Covid Mock Drill across India 

In light of the growing number of cases in the country, the Center has scheduled a mock drill for Monday and Tuesday across the country. The new Corona XBB.1.16 variation is thought to be causing the rise in Corona cases.

The number of Corona deaths has gone up nationwide. In the meantime, 4 deaths and 700 cases have been reported in Delhi alone over the past 24 hours.
