Coronavirus: Corona's speed started slowing down, 2109 new cases recorded in India in 24 hours

According to data from the Union Health Ministry, India saw 2,109 new instances of COVID-19 infection on Wednesday, but there were 21,406 fewer active cases overall. The total for covid-19 throughout the nation has already reached 4.49 crore (4.49,74,909). Including the backlog deaths reported by Kerala, the death toll increased to 5,31,722 with a total of 8 deaths. Presently, 0.05 percent of the infection is still active. According to the Union Health Ministry, 98.77% of people nationwide have recovered from covid-19.

While the death rate is 1.18 percent, there are now 4,44,21,781 people who are recovering from this illness. 220.66 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have already been administered as part of the statewide vaccination programme, according to the ministry's website. 1331 new cases were reported the day prior, while 11 persons perished from illness. 3752 persons were freed from infection during this time. Comparing Tuesday to Wednesday, the number of active cases had decreased from 25,178 to 22,742.
