MS Dhoni completes 5,000 runs, seventh-highest run scorer in IPL history 

In the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday, MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, reached the milestone of 5000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In his 208th IPL innings, Dhoni became the seventh cricketer to surpass the 5000-run threshold. The 5000-run club is also made up of AB de Villiers, Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, and Virat Kohli. 
 

Kenichi Umeda succeeds Satoshi Uchida as the new MD at Suzuki Motorcycle India 

Kenichi Umeda has been named the new Managing Director (MD) of Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL), the two-wheeler division of Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC). On May 1, 2021, Satoshi Uchida will step down as the company's MD after serving his full tenure. Umeda has over 27 years of expertise in the sector spanning numerous international marketplaces. He will be in charge of further expanding and solidifying Suzuki Motorcycle India's position in the Indian and international markets in his new job. 
 

Kenya to launch its first operational Satellite next week 

The government announced on Monday that Kenya will launch its first functioning satellite the following week, marking a significant accomplishment for the nation's space programme. On April 10, Taifa-1, also known as Nation-1 in Swahili, is expected to launch from the Californian Vandenberg Space Force Base atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
