A memorandum of understanding was recently signed between the Weapons and Electronics Systems Engineering Establishment (WESEE), the Indian Navy's R&D facility, and Bengaluru's Raman Research Institute (RRI), an independent DST institution. 

 

The Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet accepted the inclusion of transgender people in Madhya Pradesh's OBC list on Tuesday, making it a significant decision in an election year. Vishwas Sarang, the minister for medical education, gave a press conference following the cabinet meeting and said that the Supreme Court recently recognised transgender people as belonging to the third gender and ordered that their community be given preference in hiring and educational institutions.
