India joins Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate (AIM4C) 

According to a notification given by the state department, India has joined a global initiative started by the US and the UAE to boost funding and assistance for the development of climate-smart agriculture and food systems. The two countries together launched the Agricultural Innovation Mission for Climate (AIM4C) in November 2021. On the sidelines of the I2U2 - Israel, India, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates - Business Forum in Abu Dhabi, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dammu Ravi signed a letter stating India's intention to join the AIM4C.

 

Indian Navy’s IFC-IOR ties up with Seychelles centre for enhancing maritime domain awareness

The Regional Coordination Operations Centre (RCOC), Seychelles, and the Navy's Information Fusion Centre for Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR), situated in Gurugram, inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase collaboration in the Indian Ocean for boosting maritime safety and security. According to a statement from the Navy, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on Tuesday by Captain Rohit Bajpai, Director of the IFC-IOR, and Captain Sam Gontier, Director of the RCOC, aims to foster collaboration between the two centres in order to improve maritime domain awareness, information sharing, and expertise development. 

 

Asia Economic Dialogue' to be held from Feb 23-25 

The Asia Economic Dialogue, the premier geoeconomics conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will take place from February 23 to 25 in Pune and will include topics such future global growth and achieving climate goals. The ministry hosts the Asia Economic Dialogue (AED) annually in association with the Pune International Centre.

Asia and the Emerging World Order is the eighth edition of the Dialogue's theme, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
