Panchkula resident Anupama Upadhyaya will never forget the month of February 2023. She not only turned 18 this month, but she also made her biggest badminton career accomplishment. She won the title of national badminton champion. She has won a national title, making her the first girl from her district to do so. She will now move up to the top spot in the next Badminton Association of India (BAI) rankings after currently holding the fourth spot.
Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh retired from the military on Tuesday after 40 years of service, and Vice Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi took over as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, according to a statement from the navy. The ceremony was held at INS Shikra, a naval helicopter base in Mumbai. Tripathi oversaw staff in the Ministry of Defense's Integrated Headquarters (Navy).
India has received the Government Leadership Award 2023 from the Groupe Speciale Mobile Association (GSMA) for adopting best practises in telecom policy and regulation. Every year, the GSMA, which represents over 750 mobile operators and 400 enterprises in the telecom ecosystem, honours a different nation. In a ceremony conducted at Mobile World Congress Barcelona, India was named the winner.
