Karnataka Wins Santosh Trophy after a long wait of 54 years 

Karnataka defeated Meghalaya 3-2 in a thrilling championship game at the King Fahd International Stadium in Saudi Arabia's capital, ending their 54-year championship drought. To place third, Services defeated Punjab 2-0 in the playoff. In each half, PP Shafeel and Christopher Kamei scored goals. Shafeel's long-range goal gave Services, winners of five of the previous ten competitions, the lead in the seventh minute. Kamei then scored on a left-footed shot from outside the box. 

 

RBI Penalizes Amazon Pay India With Over Rs 3 Cr in Fine

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced on Friday that it had fined Amazon Pay (India) more than Rs 3 crore (3,06,66,000) for failing to follow certain rules on prepaid payment instruments (PPIs) and the requirements for knowing your customer (KYC). The central bank said in a statement that the action is based on regulatory compliance issues and is not meant to rule on the legality of any transaction or arrangement the firm has with its clients. The e-commerce behemoth Amazon's digital payment division is called Amazon Pay.

 

Rest of India beat Madhya Pradesh to win Irani Cup

On the final day of the season-ending match here on Sunday, Rest of India beat Madhya Pradesh by 238 runs, further confirming their grip on the Irani Cup. The hosts, who won the Ranji Trophy last season, were all out for 198 in their second innings on the fifth and final day of play at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium after being given an intimidating score of 437.
