India signs MoU with USA on Semiconductors 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on semiconductor supply chain and innovation partnership was signed by India and the US on Friday, according to the commerce ministry. The US secretary of commerce Gina Raimondo visited Delhi from March 7 to March 10 at the request of Piyush Goyal, minister of commerce and industry. The India-US Commercial Dialogue was relaunched during this visit to talk about cooperation for opening up new trade and investment opportunities between the two nations, it added. 
 

Xi Jinping secures third term as China’s president

As China's president for a record third five-year term, Xi Jinping has further cemented his position as the nation's most powerful leader since Mao Zedong. According to reports, Xi will now be the leader of China for the rest of time as a result of the rubber-stamp parliament's elevation on Friday, March 10. Also, he was unanimously chosen to serve as the nation's Central Military Commission's leader once more. The 69-year-old was reelected as president by almost 3,000 members of China's National People's Congress (NPC) at the Great Hall of the People. There was no other candidate in the race.
 

Shaliza Dhami leads a frontline combat unit as the first female officer in the IAF 

The Indian Air Force on Tuesday appointed Group Captain Shaliza Dhami to assume command of a frontline combat unit facing Pakistan in the Western region, taking a significant step towards making it a gender-neutral force. With approximately 2,800 hours of flight time, Group Captain (or Colonel in the Army) Dhami was commissioned as a helicopter pilot in 2003. She has held the position of flight commander of a helicopter unit in the Western sector and is the first certified female flying instructor in the IAF.
