World Air Quality report 2022

India was listed as the eighth most polluted country in the world after the Swiss company IQAir published its "World Air Quality Report" 2022. India rose in position despite falling from fifth to eighth. 39 of the 50 cities on the list of the most polluted cities are situated in India. The top 10 most polluted nations were Chad, Iraq, Pakistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Kuwait, India, Egypt, and Tajikistan, whereas Australia, Estonia, Finland, Grenada, Iceland, and New Zealand met the WHO PM2.5 standard.  
 
 

Asia's First Woman Loco Pilot, Operates Vande Bharat Express 

Surekha Yadav, the first female locomotive pilot in Asia, is now running the Vande Bharat Express. On Monday, she was the train's conductor between Solapur Station and Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal (CSMT). 
 
 

Tablesh Pandey appointed MD of LIC

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) announced on Tuesday that Tablesh Pandey, the organization's executive director, has been promoted to managing director. A regulatory filing states that his appointment will take effect on April 1, 2023. It was announced that Pandey would succeed B C Patnaik as managing director. Four managing directors now lead LIC.
