World Happiness Report 2023

For the sixth year straight, Finland is ranked as the happiest nation in the world, a record in a list that has been available for more than ten years. Finland is "significantly ahead of all other countries" in the World Happiness Report, which the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network released on Monday. Finland is followed in the rankings by Denmark in second place and Iceland in third. In terms of happiness, India is placed 126th using the three-year average from 2020 to 2022. 
 

Kerala’s first transgender lawyer 

Padma Lakshmi became the first transgender lawyer in Kerala when she joined as an advocate with the state's Bar Council. P Rajeev, the state's minister of industries, congratulated the lawyer and posted a photo of her on his official Instagram. As per the minister's post, Padma Lakshmi was among the more than 1,500 law graduates who received their certificates for membership in the Bar on Sunday during a ceremony hosted by the Bar Council of India. From the Ernakulam Government Law College, Padma Lakshmi graduated.
