India ranks at 144th spot in 2023 in Passport Index 

The Passport Index released its report, which showed a decline in India's Mobility Scores. This year, India saw the highest global decline in the Index. Before to the pandemic in 2019, it had a mobility score of 71. By 2022, it had risen to 73 after riding the post-pandemic wave of growing mobility. Its mobility score is 70 as of March 2023. India is currently placed 144 in 2023 as opposed to 138 in 2022, a drop of six places in its overall standing so far this year. 
 

Ajay Singh takes over as ASSOCHAM President 

Ajay Singh, CEO of SpiceJet, is now the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India's President (ASSOCHAM). Sumant Sinha, the Managing Director of Renew Power, is replaced by Singh since he has served his term at the chamber. The founder and chairman of Sorin Investment Fund, Sanjay Nayar, has been appointed as ASSOCHAM's next senior vice president. 
 

Star Sports brings on Ranveer Singh as brand ambassador 

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has been named Star Sports' brand ambassador. The partnership makes the actor the first to be linked with Star Sports, according to the corporation, a development that highlights the growing overlap between sports and entertainment in India. In his capacity as the Indian Premier League's (IPL) "sutradhaar" for the upcoming season, Singh will be responsible for developing a stream of content that will bring to life stories about the league's past, present, and future.
