Current Affairs Today April 21, 2023 Video: Intercontinental Football Cup to Military Advisor of National Security Council

Air Marshal Sandeep Singh, a former vice-chief of the Air Force and accomplished fighter pilot, has been named the next Military Advisor to the National Security Council.General Anil Chauhan, who was named Chief of Defence Staff in October of last year, is succeeded by him. According to officials, the officer is scheduled to start in his new position on April 24. 

 

From June 9 to June 18, the four-team Intercontinental Football Cup will be played in Bhubaneswar. The event will be held for the third time; the first two iterations took place in Mumbai (2018) and Ahmedabad (2019). Along with the tournament's host nation, Lebanon, Mongolia, and Vanuatu will compete. The men's national team of India had never faced Vanuatu or Mongolia before. The hosts have a history of six games against Lebanon.
