Cyclone Fengal: Heavy Rainfall Expected In Tamil Nadu, 7 NDRF Team Deployed

Cyclone Fengal:  The deep depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal will result in a cyclonic storm called cyclone ‘Fengal’ expected to cause heavy rainfall with high wind speed in the state of Tamil Nadu. The impact of the change in weather is being felt in Puducherry, and Andhra Pradesh as well. 

The news has set the state authority on high alert with several cautionary measures in place. Schools have been shut in the expected affected areas of Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram, Nagapattinam, Villupuram, and Thoothukudi. Seven NDRF teams have been deployed by the state’s CM and the fishermen have been advised to stay off-coast for the next three days.
