Delhi Weather: With Winter set to settle in Northern India, the capital city of Delhi is yet again engulfed in its poisonous air pollution setting the health of its residents at severe risk. The Air Quality Index of the city is worsening with each passing day compelling authorities to issue strict measures to control pollution.
Visuals from Delhi’s Kalinidi Kunj show the foam floating on the water of the Yamuna River due to the toxic chemical waste spilled in the river. Thick smog has also started appearing in the early hours of the morning posing a special threat to people with respiratory diseases or illness. The alarming AQI of the city further makes the condition dangerous compelling the state authorities to implement the 11-point action plan, banning tandoor in the restaurants, water sprinklers taking rounds and mechanical road sweeping to reduce the dust in the air.
