Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party may have secured majority in MCD elections, but BJP still does not seem to accept defeat. The BJP indicated on Wednesday that the election of the city's mayor is still an open game. The party also cited the example of Chandigarh, where its rival was the single largest party, but the mayor was from the BJP.
BJP's national spokesperson RP Singh has also claimed to become the Mayor of BJP in MCD. He tweeted, "Our Mayor. Despite 15 years of power, BJP's vote share increased by 1% and AAP's vote share fell by almost 12% compared to the last assembly elections in Delhi."
