Don 3 Teaser Release: Ranveer Singh Continues SRK’s Legacy, Fans Disappointed with the “New Era”

Don 3 Teaser:  Ahead of the immense speculations and fan wars about the third installation of the Don Franchise, Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment has finally released the teaser of Don 3, clearing all the mist about who will be the next “Don,” SRK or Ranveer. The “Rocky Aur Rani” actor will be stepping into the shoes of Shah Rukh Khan, who played the titular role in two consecutive parts of the movie. Earlier on Tuesday, Farhan Akhtar shared the first look of Don 3, followed by a statement regarding SRK’s replacement. Fans took the Internet by storm after getting to know about King Khan’s exit from the franchise. Fans flooded Twitter with memes and showed their denial with this shocking revelation. 

 

Don 3 Teaser OUT

Farhan Khan shared the teaser on Excel Entertainment’s youtube channel and also shared it on Instagram with the caption, “A New Era Begins. #Don3.” The 2-minute long teaser revealed the first look of Ranveer Singh in the titular role, donning a red hoodie, lighting a cigarette and chic glasses, saying “sher jo so raha hai wo jagega kab, puchte hain ye sab, unse keh do fir jaag utha hoon main”. The trailer unexpectedly promises good visuals with action and suspense. Although Ranveer is/can be considered as the perfect replacement to SRK, since no one in the industry is believed to pull off the role of a villain just as Ranveer does, take “Alauddin Khilji” for example. Whatever the reason for this major addition to the franchise, let’s hope Ranveer will do justice with the role. 

Don 3 Release Date and Twitter Reactions

Shah Rukh’s comeback was originally scheduled for Don 3, but the plan never went on board. Don 3 will be directed by Farhan Akhtar, who also directed the two SRK films, and is scheduled for release in 2025. Don 3 is the first movie that Ranveer has confirmed after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s blockbuster success. He is also rumoured to also be doing Shaktimaan in the coming years.

Coming back to the teaser, fans are as much as disappointed as anyone can imagine. There was already a ruckus on social media after Farhan Akhtar dropped hints with the first look of the movie, but the teaser has gained massive backlash from SRKians. Users already requested the makers to back off from here only, with the trend #NoSRKNoDon. However, some also hoped that Ranveer may do well.
