Dunki Drop 5: SRK’s ‘O Maahi’ Song Adds To King Khan’s Never-Ending Saga of Beautifying Desert Romances

Dunki Drop 5 Song: Only Shah Rukh Khan can give life to a gloomy place with his magic of romance that fills the room with fresh and vibrant air. Just like in ‘Zaalima’ alongside Mahira Khan, SRK has taken desert romances to another level which can be seen in the recently released song from his upcoming Christmas movie “Dunki”. The song ‘O Maahi’ has a soft romance with SRK and his on-screen love interest Taapsee Pannu. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the song is included as Dunki ‘Drop 5’ version, with the previous 4 featuring teaser, trailer, and promo clips.

Arijit Singh Captures Hearts With His Melodious Voice

The song is shot in the UAE’s deserts at a point when it seems both SRK and Taapsee are on their journey of moving abroad via an illegal route. ‘O maahi’ is the third song from the movie after ‘Lutt Putt Gaya’ and ‘Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se’. The song is a soulful and soothing romantic number sung by Arijit Singh, written by Irshad Kamil and composed by Pritam. The song beautifully captures SRK and Taapsee’s blooming romance in the sand dunes, traversing coss borders in hope for a better life, determined to protect each other. SRK has once again captured fans’ hearts with ‘O maahi’, exuding his ‘King of Romance’ charm with the delicateness of Taapsee.

Dunki Release Date

Directed by Rajjumar Hirani, the movie is all set to release in theatres around Christmas on 21st December, 2023. In a post sharing the promotional video song’s teaser, Shah Rukh also explained the meaning of the movie title ‘Dunki. He wrote, “Sab poochte hain Iss liye bata raha hoon. Dunki ka matlab hota hai apno se door rehna….aur jab apne paas ho toh bas lagta hai qayamat tak uske saath hi rahein. O Maahi O Maahi. Feel the love before sun sets on the horizon today. Because everybody asks, what does Dunki mean? Dunki means being apart from your loved ones. And when you are with them, one feels the moment should last till the end of time. O Maahi O Maahi….feel the love before the sun sets on the horizon today!”
