The Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi created by Sanjayleela Bhansali is now streaming on OTT channel Netflix. In this special Interview with HerZindagi, Alia Bhatt gets candid and shares how she prepared for this special role. This was also Alia’s first collaboration for Sanjayleela Bhansali's magnum opus and the actress shares her experience of working with him too. 

Alia Bhatt on Playing the role of Gangubai 

Sharing her experience on working with Sanjay Leela BHansali, Aia Bhatt shares that it was her dream to become an actress for SLB film at least once. And with Gangubai Kathiwadi her dream became true. Alia also shares that she learned the special accent for the film and even worked a lot on bringing Gangu on-screen.

Alia Bhatt also sheds light on how she follows fashion in everyday life. She reveals that though actros are in the constant limelight and in front of Paparazzi lenses it's not possible to wear new clothes everyday. The fast fashion also impacts the environment a lot and for the same she prefers to follow casual and comfy style.

Gangubai Kathiawadi on Netflix

Let us tell you that The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial released in theaters on March 11 and is the first film of the year 2022 to reach the 100 crore club. Alia also received a lot of praise for the title role of Gangubai in this film. Now Gangubai Kathiawadi is streaming on Netflix from 26 April.
