Tabu in Bollywood Last Decade: The last decade has marked the years of biggest commercial success for Tabu. From ‘Haider’ in 2014 to ‘Crew’ in 2024, Tabu’s craft has held us all enchanted with her captivating eyes and stunning performances. Unlike many actresses who had to witness the burn of shelf life in showbiz, Tabu’s chart of success ranked higher after her 30s and continues to soar high over the horizon. 

Crew

Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, ‘Crew’, a money heist comedy led by an all-women cast has made a business of Rs. 4.5 crores on Day 4 of its release per the data revealed by Sacnilk. The movie has been the biggest female-led opener in the history of Hindi cinema. 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 

Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani led Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and made several headlines for Tabu’s impacting performance in a double role on screen playing the polarised character in the same frame. The film was the fourth highest-grossing film of 2022, with a worldwide revenue of 266.88 crores after being made at a budget of Rs. 70 crores. 

Drishyam 2 

The sequel of Ajay Devgan’s crime thriller ‘Drishyam’ was highly anticipated. The movie made ₹345.05 crore worldwide. Tabu played a wretched mother and IGP Meera Deshmukh. A dedicated, courageous police officer and a loving and caring mother unaware of her son’s brat behavior. 

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo

Tabu has been a part of South India forever. In 2020, Allu Arjun and Pooja Hedge led film minted Rs. 200 crores domestically. Tabu plays the role of the mother in the movie, whose son is taken away from her at the time of birth, as it is stillborn. 

De De Pyaar De 

De De Pyar De sure promises an eccentric plot. Manju essayed by Tabu is Saif Ali Khan’s ex-wife in the movie, though the two have never legally separated all the while. The plot turns when Khan falls in love with Rakul’s character, a woman half her age. The movie made a box office collection of Rs. 143 crores. 

Andhadhun  

Sriram Raghvan’s quirky noir inspired by a French short film features Tabu as Simi, an ambitious woman patient with her husband only because of her connections in the film industry. The movie is a delight to watch her excellent performance. Its worldwide gross collection was ₹456.89. 

Golmaal Again 

The supernatural comedy directed by Rohit Shetty boasts a cast ensemble of  Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Parineeti Chopra, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Johnny Lever. The movie was among the highest-grosser movies of the year 2017 and made a gross box office collection of Rs. 310.98 crore.
