Gehraiyaan: Deepika Padokone puts faith in the director Shakun Batra, says, I wouldn't have done it If someone else directed it

Bollywood Updates: The Amazon Prime Video original film Gehraiyaan is soon to be released on the OTT platform. Film which features Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey, deals with the concept of infidelity and other complexities of relationships.

Gehraiyaan Movie Story 

The film talks about Alisha Khanna  who has turned 30, and her six year long relationship has reached a dead end. She also faces challenges in her career. It’s when she starts to accept the life circumstances, her cousin, Tia arrives and brings her fiancé, Zain, along with her. The story conflict comes in when Zian and Alisha connect with each other and take charge to change their life situations. As per Deepika Padukone, the film Gehraiyaan is not yet another cinematic piece which aims to titillate and excite the audience, in fact, the film genuinely documents the delicate intimacy and the journey of the characters. Deepika also puts her faith in the director Shakun Batra as she says, “If the film was in anyone else's hand, then in all probability, I wouldn't have done it.”

The film ‘Gehraiyaan’ will soon be released on 11 February 2022 on Amazon Prime Video. The film will feature Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajat Kapur in the pivotal roles. The Romance Drama is directed by Shakun Batra. The film is a collaboration project of Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Jouska Films.
