Ghaziabad News: The recent rains and thunderstorms have wreaked havoc in many parts of North India, including Delhi-NCR, UP and Rajasthan. Dust storms have damaged infrastructure, public property, and uprooted trees. Ghaziabad suffered heavy damage on May 21, 2025, as a result of a storm and thunderstorm. A large number of trees fell in different parts of the district.
Due to excessive rain, the roof of Ankur Vihar ACP office in Ghaziabad Colony fell, severely injuring Sub Inspector Virendra Kumar. The inspector was immediately taken to the local hospital by police officers, where doctors declared him dead. The collapse of the ACP office roof in barely two years demonstrates that poor materials were used during construction.
