Highest-Grossing Concert Films: Taylor Swift tops the list of highest-grossing concert-based films with her 2023 “The Eras Tour”. Behind her in the list are global icons and legendary singers. Before Taylor Swift, the title for the same was held by Justin Bieber. Miley Cyrus preceded Beyonce, One Direction, and Katy Perry next in the stepping down ladder.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour 

The film was produced by the American Singer-Songwriter herself with Sam Wrench as director. It made a domestic gross collection of $179.2 million and $261.6 million worldwide. The movie came out on 13 October 2023 was shot throughout her first three shows at SoFi Stadium in California.

Justin Beiber: Never Say Never

The former to hold the title of highest-grossing concert film was Justin Beiber with his 2011 released documentary “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never”. The movie did a gross business of $ 99 million worldwide. The movie was directed by Jon M. Chu and documented the 16-year-old pop star on his 2010 concert tour. It was released on 11 February 2011 and is the first and only MTV film to have a General rating.

Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert

Released on 1, February 2008, this concert film was the highest-grossing contemporary music concert film ever by a female artist at the time. Directed by Bruce Hendricks the American concert film made a gross collection of $65.3 million.

Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce 

A 2023 concert film by Beyonce following her evolution of the Renaissance World Tour Was released on 1 December 2023 and did a global box office of $ 44 million. The film also features her husband Jay-Z; parents Mathew and Tina Knowles; and three children Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir Carter.

One Direction: This Is Us

The British boy band that ruled the world before going on a hiatus in 2016 opened “One Direction: This Is Us” film on 29 August 2013. Directed by Morgan Spurlock, its net gross worldwide was $68 million. The movie features footage from live performances from One Direction’s ‘Take Me Home’ tour. 

It is to be noted that Michael Jackson’s This Is It with a domestic gross of $72.1 million is not included in the list as the movie is footage of his rehearsals 50-show run at the 02 Arena in London and was released on 28 October 2009, after he died.
