Himachal Pradesh Weather: More Than 250 People Died Due to Landslides and Cloudbursts, State Govt Releases Report

Himachal Pradesh News: The monsoon season brings heavy rainfall and other calamities, particularly in the hilly areas. Cases of landslides, cloudbursts, and heavy infrastructure destruction are frequently reported in states like Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Talking about Himachal, in this monsoon season, rains have wreaked havoc in the state, claiming many people’s lives, while missing cases are also reported. 

40 Incidents Reported

According to the State Disaster Management Authority’s report, 23 people died as a result of cloudbursts, 26 died from drowning and flowing, 6 died from landslides, and 8 died from floods. One person died due to lightning. So far, 271 people have died during this monsoon season in Himachal Pradesh, with 30 still missing.
