Housefull 5 Postponed: The much-awaited fifth part of the comedy franchise Housefull has been lately catching a lot of attention as fans are excited to see the ensemble cast of the most loved franchise, that will also include the OGs Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. The film was initially set for a Diwali 2024 release, however, it has been confirmed that the movie has been postponed to 2025, and the makers have promised to deliver top-notch VFX with five times the entertainment to the audience.
Actor Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram account and shared the new release date of Housefull 5. The film is scheduled to release on 6th June, 2025 in theatres, with almost 1 year of postponement. In the post shared by Akshay Kumar, a written official statement from the film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala was also included. The statement read, “The Housefull franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Housefull 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we’ve made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience. Housefull 5 will now be releasing on 6th June 2025.”
The previous four installments saw a stellar cast of Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, and more. In the upcoming fifth installment, only two names have been confirmed so far, including Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. There are rumors that John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, and Bobby Deol will also appear in Housefull 5. The first Housefull film, which starred Akshay Kumar, Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, and Chunky Panday, was released in 2010. The sequel to the franchise was released in theaters in 2012. The third and fourth installments of Housefull were released in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
