IAS Toppers’ Anshuman Raj Success Story:

A person can always get up to great heights in their career and lives, even with fewer resources. Well, one such example is IAS Anshuman Raj, who completed his school education in the small town of Buxar and even has to study in the shade of a kerosine oil lamp until his 10th class.

Anshuman prepared for his UPSC Civil Service Exam while being in his village itself, and got to become an IAS officer in his 4th attempt. In this article further, we will know more about IAS Anshuman Raj’s strategy and story.

IAS Anshuman Raj completed his initial studies until the 10th standard at a school in his village and then went on to JNV Ranchi to complete his studies for the 12th class. Anshuman never had many facilities there too but was determined enough towards his studies.

IAS Anshuman Raj's preparation tips:

Anshuman prepared for the UPSC Civil Service Exam through self-studies, while being in his village. He cracked the exam in his first attempt, without any coaching, and became an IRS officer. Though he joined for the position, but still had a dream to become an IAS officer instead, and decided to appear for the exam next year. 

After giving exams consecutive two times, Anshuman failed every time, but didn’t lose hope, and learned from his mistakes every time. And when he appeared for the fourth time after learning from his mistakes, Anshuman finally became an IAS officer with an AIR 160 in the year 2019. 

Anusham on his success shares that he prepared for his last three attempts while being in his village, and hence, there is no need for coaching or shifting to a big city to prepare for the Civil Service Exam if you have internet services. 

Adding further, Anshuman states that to excel in this exam, one needs to be patient enough while preparing for the UPSC Civil service exam, as success isn’t guaranteed in this exam, and may come to you much later than expected, but one should never lose hope and should consistently prepare for their goal.

He also states that one must accept his/her mistakes and shall learn from them well. A person can only clear the UPSC exam with a lot of self-belief, hard work, consistency, and patience.
