Israel-Iran War: Despite increasing Middle Eastern tensions, the IDF is committed to eliminating the Hezbollah leaders. Hashim Saifuddin, the alleged successor to Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah, was also killed in the Beirut attack, according to the IDF. Israel staged a missile attack in southern Beirut to assassinate Saifuddin. During the Israeli invasion, Saifuddin was meeting with his commanders in a bunker built beneath a multi-story structure.
Hezbollah sources told media that Hassan Nasrallah survived the attack on Hezbollah headquarters. Following this revelation, Israeli Defense Forces officers stated that they did not believe Nasrallah would survive the attack. Several hours following this declaration, Israel confirmed Nasrallah’s death. According to reports, Nasrallah had taken refuge in another building at the time of the attack, where he died due to the dispersion of poisonous gas following the Israeli attacks.
