Israel-Hezbollah War: Following the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli strike, the movement has elected a new leader. Hassan Nasrallah will be succeeded by Deputy Secretary Naim Qasim. According to media sources, Naim Qasim is now in Iran.

Who is Naim Qasim?

From 1974 to 1988, Naim Qassem led the Association for Islamic Religious Education. Qasim headed the Hezbollah school network. In 1991, he was elected the group’s deputy secretary general. He is a member of Hezbollah’s executive council called the Shura Council.
