Israel-Iran War: Air India Flights Cancelled Due to Hamas Leader’s Assassination, Tension Increases

Isreal-Iran War: In response to rising tensions between Israel and Iran, Air India has cancelled all flights to Israel. On Friday, the airline announced the cancellation of all flights until August 8. The company also stated that flights to Tel Aviv had been cancelled with immediate effect. Following the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Iran has openly threatened to attack Israel. 

Hamas Leader Assassination

Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, had traveled to Tehran to meet with Iran's Supreme Leader and attend Iran’s new President Masoud Pezeshkian’s inauguration ceremony. The building where he was staying was destroyed in an airstrike, killing one of his security guards. This incident sparked a strong reaction in the Middle Eastern countries. Iran has threatened retaliation, claiming that Israel was behind the incident.
