Jackky was born in Kolkata, West Bengal on 25 December 1984, to Bollywood film producer Vashu Bhagnani (Sarabjit) and Pooja Bhagnani. He was a second child after his sister Deepshika Deshmukh.

His secondary schooling was done in Mumbai at Welham’s Boy School, and he went to St. Teresa’s High School later followed by pursuing a graduate degree in Commerce at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics.

Bhagnani started his acting career with a sci-fi romance ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ in 2009. He made his debut as a producer with the critically acclaimed Sarabjit starring Aishwarya Rai and Randeep Hooda.
