Weather Update: The recent cloud burst in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district killed two persons and left several others missing. Two bodies, including a 12-year-old kid, were discovered today, and rescue efforts are underway to locate five more missing people. According to officials, the cloudburst hit Kumate, Dhraman, and Halla panchayats in Rajgarh tehsil on Monday afternoon, creating flash floods in the Tanger and Dadi rivers.
Five people are still missing, and efforts are being made to find them by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local law enforcement, and volunteers. Two bodies have already been found. Major Singh, the tehsildar of Rajgarh, reported that seven individuals from three families were missing during the flash floods. At least two government schools as well as a few buildings are reportedly damaged in Gadgram and Sonua.
